Let’s Explain the N Logo on Your Dashboard!

What is the ‘N’ logo on your dashboard? Great question!

This “N” is the symbol for Near Field Communication (NFC), which is a feature found on most smartphones. If you have ever used Apple Pay or Google Pay on your iPhone or Android device, then you have used an NFC feature before. But, what does this do for your Honda? Well, it is an alternate method for connecting your smartphone to your vehicle, rather than using the Bluetooth connectivity option. It is handy and easy to set up! Here’s how to set it up:

First, let’s activate NFC Connectivity on your Honda!

  • Press the “Home” button on your Honda’s infotainment system.
  • Next, click “Settings”
  • Press “Connections”
  • From there, click “NFC”
  • A notification will appear, click “On” at the bottom of the screen.

Now, let’s connect your phone via the NFC logo.

  • Press the “Home” button on your Honda’s infotainment system.
  • Next, select “NFC Manager”
  • Then press, “Connect Device to Vehicle Bluetooth”
  • And then simply hold your phone over the NFC Logo.
  • Select accept or yes, when a pairing notification appears on your device.

Once you have completed the steps above, your phone and vehicle should be connected! If you need more assistance, check out the how-to video below!
