Honda’s Blind Spot Information System

2017 Accord Hybrid

What is Honda’s Blind Spot Information System (BSI)?

Honda’s BSI is a safety alert system, which tells the driver when a vehicle is in their blind spot. It uses radar sensors on each side of the rear bumper, and is only active when your vehicle is driving at 32 km/hr or above. When a vehicle is detected by the BSI, the blind spot indicator light will blind, and a beeping sound will be heard until the blind spot is clear.

Changing the BSI Settings:

  1. Put the vehicle in Park
  2. From your Display Information System home screen, click “Settings”
  3. Then, select “Vehicle”
  4. Now, click “Driver Assist System Setup”
  5. From this screen, you can choose the alert type, or turn BSI off.
