Ratings Roundup: 2017 Accord

2017 Accord Ratings Roundup

The Accord is another classic Honda that has something for everyone. With a coupe, sedan, and hybrid, multiple trim levels, and two transmission options, you can tailor the Accord to your exact needs. But, can the 2017 model keep up this tradition?

The editors at Kelley Blue Book gave the 2017 Accord a rating of 9.3 out of 10. It is currently the highest rated vehicle in its class. After driving the Accord, the editors at KBB found it to be a “highly recommendable” vehicle. Out of all of the Accord’s features, they were the most pleased by the LaneWatch blindspot display. It is a practical safety feature that could easily be relied on.

The Car Connection gave the 2017 Accord an overall rating of 8.3 out of 10. It received a 9 out of 10 in the individual “Comfort and Quality” and “Safety” categories. This is another case where the Accord is the highest rated vehicle in its class. The experts at TCC were struck by how roomy and quiet the Accord’s cabin was. They found the noise cancellation to be very efficient, calling it “one of the quietest” cabins in its class. They also were glad to see that the Honda Sensing group of safety features is now available cross the Accord’s trim levels. It comes with the Touring trim level, but can be added onto several others.

The 2017 Accord was named a Top Safety Pick+ by the IIHS! This means that it received a perfect score of “Good” in all of its crash tests! It also received bonus points for front crash prevention, for those Accords that come with Forward Collision Warning. The NHTSA gave the Accord an overall score of 5 out of 5. In particular, the 2017 Accord coupe received a perfect score in all three of its crash tests! The Accord sedan and hybrid were awarded a 5 out of 5 in the side crash and rollover tests.
