Ratings Roundup: 2016 Odyssey
The 2016 Odyssey is not your typical minivan. The 2016 Odyssey is the minivan that can keep the entire family happy. With seating for up to eight people, a state-of-the-art DVD entertainment system, a hidden vacuum, and customizable folding seats, the Odyssey seems tailor-made for a family road trip.
The editors at Kelley Blue Book gave the 2016 Odyssey an overall rating of 9.3 out of 10, giving it the highest rating in its class. At the time of this writing, it has a consumer rating of 8.5 out of 10. The KBB editors’ first impression of the 2016 Odyssey was that it is “built with the family in mind”. They loved the convenience of the Honda VAC. Also, the fact that the Odyssey’s second row can fit three child booster seats was a plus. In addition, they had high praise for the Odyssey’s entertainment system, especially the surround sound.
The 2016 Odyssey has an excellent safety record. It currently has a five star safety rating from the NHTSA. The IIHS has named it a Top Safety Pick for 2016! This means that the Odyssey received a perfect score of “Good” in all five crash test categories. It also received an extra point for front crash prevention.
The editors at The Car Connection gave the 2016 Odyssey an overall score of 8 out of 10. It is also currently nominated for the 2016 Driver’s Choice: Best Car for Families award! The editors at TCC loved the Odyssey’s fuel economy. For a minivan, it has the fuel economy of the Accord. They also found the cabin to be exceedingly quiet, with a note-worthy amount of storage.
