Ratings Roundup: 2016 HR-V

 The 2016 HR-V is the highly anticipated and newest member of the Honda family. As a mid-point between the Honda Fit and CR-V, the HR-V fills a niche for drivers who want the storage space of an SUV with the manoeuvrability of a coupe. But how has the 2016 HR-V done with its first round of ratings and reviews?

The 2016 HR-V currently has a consumer rating of 8.9 out of 10 with Kelley Blue Book. The editors at KBB were also big fans of the HR-V! They found that the interior and tech features of the HR-V make it feel like a “premium” vehicle. It has a phenomenal amount of interior space, which is amplified with Magic Seat technology. Plus, they found it to be a very fun vehicle to drive!

The IIHS gave the 2016 HR-V a safety score of “Good” in three out of five crash test categories. However, the NHTS gave it a five star overall safety rating. In particular, it received five stars in the individual “Side Crash” test category.

The 2016 HR-V has an overall rating of 7.8 out of 10 from The Car Connection. Specifically, it received a score of 9 out of 10 in the individual “Features” category, and an 8 out of 10 in the “Comfort and Quality”, “Safety”, and “Fuel Economy” categories. The editors at TCC loved the interior styling of the HR-V. They also praised its storage capabilities, and well-organized dashboard. They also really enjoyed the list of tech features that grows as you go through the HR-V’s trim levels; from a rearview camera to satellite GPS navigation.
