2016 Fit Ratings Roundup

The 2016 Fit might look small, but looks can be deceiving! This little subcompact hatch rose to popularity through its fuel efficiency, storage capabilities, and glowing safety scores. To top it all off, it is actually fun to drive!

The experts at Kelley Blue Book gave the 2016 FIt an overall rating of 9.5 out of 10, putting it at the top of its class. It currently has a consumer rating of 8.8 out of 10. The KBB experts singled out the Fit’s Magic Seats as one of their favourite features. Not only can the seats be arranged in several different ways to create more space, but they fold down easily. The 2016 Fit’s excellent fuel economy was also a plus, thanks to the vehicle’s light frame and Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).

The NHTSA gave the 2016 Fit an overall safety rating of 5 out of 5. It also received a perfect score in three out of the four individual crash tests. In addition, the NHTSA noted that the 2016 Fit’s backup camera system is a standard feature. The Insurance Institute For Highway Safety gave the 2016 Fit a top score of “Good” in four of their five crash test categories.

The 2016 Fit is listed as the top of its class by The Car Connection, with an overall rating of 8 out of 10. The fuel efficient nature of the Fit really stood out to TCC. They called it “one of the best fuel-efficient cars on the road today” and specified that “aside from hybrid vehicles, the Honda Fit is one of the most fuel-efficient hatchbacks on the road”. They found the Fit to be very comfortable for passengers, with head and leg room for their tallest editors. TCC also had high praise for the changes to the 2016 Fit’s exterior aesthetics. In particular, they found this year’s Fit to look less like a small minivan, and more like a traditional hatchback.
