Ratings Roundup: 2014 Odyssey
The 2014 Honda Odyssey is a “mini-van” in name only. With three rows of seats, easily expandable storage space, and trim options that even include a vacuum, the Odyssey is anything but an ordinary mini-van. If you haven’t had a chance to experience the 2014 Odyssey, it’s amazing review record might be the push you need!
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) both had high praise for the Odyssey’s safety capabilities. The 2014 Odyssey features Honda’s second generation of their Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure, giving it a leg-up in crash protection. This helped the Odyssey to be the only vehicle in its class to earn the title of “Top Safety Pick+” from the IIHS. Keeping with this trend, the NHTSA gave the 2014 Odyssey top grade of 5 stars in its New Car Assessment program!
Kelley Blue Book‘s editors gave the 2014 Odyssey an overall rating of 9.1 out of 10. It was also named second in its class for fuel economy, and it currently has a consumer rating of 8.3 out of 10. KBB.com loved how easy it was to fold down the Odyssey’s seats, and were impressed by its storage space.
The Car Connection gave the Odyssey an overall rating of 8.2 out of 10. It scored a 10 out of 10 in the “Safety” category, and a 9 out of 10 in the “Comfort and Quality” category. They were happy that all of the 2014 Odyssey’s trim levels offer basic Bluetooth and LaneWatch features. Also, they were impressed that the Odyssey could comfortably fit six adult passengers!
